The signs and

 

The cross () is very often used to indicate a particular part of a picto. For instance, to mean the chimney of a house, we put a cross as close to the chimney as we can.

When the picto does not allow room enough and we want to be precise, we may use the sign .

Impossible and Possible

Impossible is a glass of water drawn in an upside down position and in which the water remains in the glass. So we have:

Weak and Strong

Contrast allows us to represent these concepts in a very simple

manner. We choose the picto Table and have:

A man with wide shoulders also means Strong:
